Several topics will be addressed during this edition. The first day, September 20, marks the beginning of Paris Retail Week with an introduction from 10:30 to 10:45 am by Arnaud GALLET, Director of Paris Retail Week.
The morning continues with the Havas Commerce insight from 10:45 to 11:15 am by Vincent MAYET, Managing Director of Havas Commerce, who aims to launch the event and present the Havas Commerce study “Global Commerce Observatory”. This study aims to introduce the new challenges of retail in a context of crisis, inflation and war. The study draws up a global state of business and outlines the next evolutions on the side of consumers but also on the side of merchants and future technological and digital innovations.
In the continuity of this day placed under the sign of future retail trends, round tables, mentoring and keynotes will take place between market players.
Three Keynotes will also punctuate this day of exchanges. Evolving since birth in the world of entrepreneurship with his father, he developed a merchant mentality from an early age: at 6 years old he started selling his books to make pocket money, at 18 he set up a company of destocking of major brands as a pure web player.
It is through these two experiences that he discovers the business: the importance of margin, digital acquisition strategies, the importance of customer loyalty, and the absolute necessity to deliver an impeccable customer experience to optimize retention.
In 2012, he developed his company on a new channel: physical retail.
Then in 2015, he created CABAIA with the desire to create an international accessories brand based on 3 distribution channels (Retail, Wholesale, and E-commerce).
CABAIA is a success, in 5 years it already achieves more than 15M of turnover with a growth of 100% per year.
It is this success that grants it the place of expert in omnichannel commerce during this Paris Retail Week.
The Marketing Specialist
Antoine Dubois, Communication and Guest Experience International Expert of GROUPE ACCOR, has been appointed as a mentor for the Marketing issue during Paris Retail Week.
After starting his career at Leo Burnett where he worked between Paris and Chicago for Heinz, Kellogg’s and Disney, he joined the marketing department of Disneyland Paris and then the communication department of RTL.
He joined the ACCOR GROUP in 2011 as head of Media and Social Network Communication for AccorHotels. He evolves within the group as SVP Global Marketing Strategy. He defines the positioning strategy of the Accor brand, the launch of the ALL digital platform and the launch of the Tribe brand, among others. In April 2021, he joined the position he currently holds: Director of Marketing and Customer Experience for the group’s 18 brands in Southern Europe.
Antoine Dubois has 20 years of experience in the field of communication and marketing and a great deal of expertise in the hotel sector. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Union des Marques and the IAA France. All of his experience naturally justifies his position as a mentor for marketing issues.
CSR theme
Rémi-Pierre Lapprend, CSR Director of MAISONS DU MONDE, is the mentor for the CSR category, Corporate Social Responsibility, of Paris Retail Week 2022.
He is an expert in CSR since he has built his career in total coherence with his commitments. Indeed, he graduated from HEC Paris with a specialization in sustainable development and social business management. He then spent six years at Deloitte Sustainable Development. Finally, in 2017, he joined MAISONS DU MONDE where he is in charge of responsible transformation and the Good is Beautiful approach.
Paris Retail Week 2022 will be able to benefit from his CSR expertise, which he now coordinates within the furniture and decoration brand with an international presence and more than 262 stores in Europe.
Qualified in Data
Samir Amellal offers us the opportunity to learn a lot about Data during the Paris Retail Week thanks to his intervention on this theme. He is the Chief Data Officer of AUCHAN RETAIL FRANCE.
In terms of diplomas, Samir Amellal obtained a master’s degree in data processing and a master’s degree in Data and eBusiness.
In 2010, he joined the Publicis group. He evolves within the company to become Chief Data Officer. In 2017, he joined Havas, in one of its subsidiaries specialized in Data and Digital, as Managing Director. He also worked for La Redoute to ensure the digital transformation of the group.
In parallel, Samir Amellal teaches Artificial Intelligence, holds patents in Data, is a shareholder in two digital start-ups and participates in several major French digital mission projects.
His range of experience and skills has earned him the position of mentor for the Data issue of Paris Retail Week 2022.
At the forefront of logistics
Grégory Chekroun, Director of Logistics, Transport and Flows for the FNAC DARTY GROUP, has been chosen as a mentor for the Logistics theme.
Before entering the retail sector, Grégory Chekroun began his career in industry and then joined Capgemini Consulting for three years.
He then managed several companies in the distribution sector. In particular, he piloted the Supply Chain transformation of BUT, then the Supply Chain, Transformation and Indirect Purchasing department of Pomona as well as that of Stokomani.
In 2021, he joined the FNAC DARTY GROUP as Director of Logistics, Transport and Flows.
His strong implantation for many years now in the distribution and logistics sector allows him to position himself as an expert for this 2022 edition.
A marketplaces’ pro
Maud Behaghel is Senior Director of Planning and Strategy at VINTED. Over the years, she has built a 100% marketplaces background which naturally earned her the position of mentor for this issue.
Maud Behaghel started her career at Vestiaire Collective in 2010. She participated in its launch as she was in charge of marketing and communication.
In 2014, she joined Uber where she also contributed to the launch of the platform in France, then in Europe and internationally.
Five years later, she returned to the world of fashion and second hand at United Wardrobe. In 2020, VINTED bought the company and Maud Behaghel became the director of operations and then evolved to the position she holds today.
It is a career punctuated by marketplaces in a very dynamic sector that has allowed her to acquire this expertise in the field.
Payment professional
The mentor chosen for this theme is Pierre Deuwel, Head of Payment & Anti-Fraud at Kiabi.
A true expert in payment methods, Pierre Deuwel started in the field by participating in the internal financial transformation of the European Metropolis of Lille. He then joined Cofidis as a business development manager, where he worked with e-retailers to deploy omnichannel payment strategies for Huawei, Point S and Clarins among others.
At the beginning of 2022, Pierre Deuwel joined KIABI as Head of Payment, where he pilots the payment methods of the French group.
